Barcelona have reportedly reached full agreement with Raphinha on a new contract that would keep the Brazilian winger at the club until June 2030, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, with only the formal signing ceremony left to arrange.

The extension replaces a deal that was due to run to 2028 and follows an earlier renewal Raphinha signed in May 2025. Barcelona's sporting director, Deco, had already flagged a further extension at the club's General Assembly in September, so this week's news is the conclusion of a process rather than a surprise.

Why Barcelona moved fast

Raphinha has been one of the most productive attackers in La Liga this season, contributing to a return of 12 league goals and 14 across all competitions in his first eight matches — numbers that have made him close to indispensable under head coach Hansi Flick.

  • Previous contract: due to expire in 2028
  • New terms: extended to June 2030
  • Season so far: 12 La Liga goals, 14 in all competitions through eight matches
  • Club stance: sporting director Deco flagged the renewal publicly in September

More than a goal return

Barcelona's framing of the deal has leaned heavily on Raphinha's all-round contribution — his work rate out of possession and his willingness to track back have reportedly mattered as much to the club's hierarchy as his output in the final third. Locking in that profile until 2030 gives Barcelona a settled first-choice winger as they continue competing on multiple fronts.
